Gareth Southgate has named his provisional 33-man squad for Euro 2020, including debuts for center-backs Ben White and Ben Godfrey, as well as Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Due to a number of players competing in the Champions League and Europa League finals this week, Southgate has delayed making a final decision on his 26-man squad for the tournament.

The delay will also allow players to prove their fitness, because Jordan Henderson, Declan Rice, Harry Maguire, and Kalvin Phillips all included, either carrying or yet to fully recover from injury.

However, there will be no time for Nick Pope to recover after undergoing knee surgery, with Dean Henderson, Sam Johnstone, and Aaron Ramsdale filling in for Jordan Pickford.

Alexander-Arnold will have another chance to reclaim his place in the congested right full-back position after being controversially left out of England's March internationals, but he will face stiff competition from the likes of Kyle Walker, Reece James, and Kieran Trippier. Meanwhile, Godrey and White were both called up after strong seasons at Everton and Brighton, respectively.

After a stellar season at Borussia Dortmund, Jude Bellingham will be the squad's youngest player, and teammate Jadon Sancho returns after missing England's last round of fixtures due to injury.
